Born in southern Brazil in 1985, Rossano Snel began playing piano at the age of eight and started composing original melodies shortly thereafter. This early affinity for clear, expressive melodies has remained a defining element of his musical language.

Before fully committing to composition and performance, Snel explored a range of creative and technical paths, including work as a DJ, performing with jazz ensembles, and playing piano in senior residences. After various professional and personal experiences, he chose to focus entirely on what had always been central to his work: writing, performing, and occasionally teaching music.

After living in São Paulo, Snel settled in Berlin, which has since become his creative home. Based in Friedrichshain near Frankfurter Tor, he lives and works as a composer, producer, and pianist.

Rossano Snel writes and produces music for his own projects as well as for other artists, films, and interdisciplinary art works. His compositions have been widely used in feature films, documentaries, animation, and television series, and have been presented by broadcasters and platforms including HBO, Netflix, ARTE, ZDF, ARD, and Canal Brasil. His work has been released internationally and presented in countries such as the United States, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Australia, Brazil, and Argentina.
