Sharing stages, tourbusses & studios with bands such as United We Fall, Teddy Smith & The Foreigners, TONEWOOD, LOLA funkt, Hannah Who, FOFO, ENGIN, Unojah, Zweierpasch and many more, Max Buettner made himself heard as a drummer, composer and producer during the last decade. While enjoying the role as a sideman he continuously had an eye on his soloproject, releasing two albums: Drifting (2017) & Lucid Dreams (2023). Musically bouncing back between Hip-Hop, Jazz and Popmusic, loving acoustic and electronic elements of music likewise. Max’s travels formed a big pool of musicians all around the globe and he invited them to be part of this collective.

 

Over a span of four years, „Reconnect“ gathers original modern jazz compositions enriched by poems, short stories, socially critical statements, and audio-fragments. Much of the album was created during stays abroad in the USA and South America – with a direct message to the German jazz scene and its traditionalists. State-of-the-art improvisational music in the sound of the 21st century: Thoughtprovoking, with no hidden agendas and no blinkered vision. „Reconnect“ is the result of deep musical, personal, social observations and reflection by the artist.
