OVER THE WORLD WE KNOW
Over the World We Know is Hania Derejs ninth album and the first to incorporate electronic sounds. She began working on it during the pandemic, confined to her room with only a piano and a computer. In that solitude, she built a musical space filled with unfamiliar textures that offered her a sense of freedom. The album is a journey into the imagination—an exploration of new sonic landscapes and the infinite possibilities beyond what we know.
Hania Derej (b. 2005) is a Polish composer, pianist, and conductor, currently studying jazz composition at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and symphonic conducting at the Music Academy in Cracow. Her work is known for its melodic and emotional character.
